Let students blog
Arnold Wile - Naples, Fla.
As a retired guidance counselor with more than 35 years of experience in a high school in New England, and as a lifetime advocate for student rights and freedom of expression, I would suggest school administrators take advantage of the blog situation and use it as a learning experience ("Students, officials locking horns over blogs," Life, Oct. 26).
When questions arise over a controversial blog posting, students and their parents should be required to meet face-to-face with the object of their writing. This would remove the Internet's anonymity and bring the discussion out into the open. This meeting could be a condition of being classified as a student in good standing. It would be time consuming, but well worth it.
