The first ever international political summit to discuss the global impact of remote gambling is taking place today.
The summit, initiated and hosted by the British government will discuss the global challenges posed by remote gambling including the protection of children and vulnerable people and keeping out crime.
It is estimated that 3.5 billion is now spent each year on computer gambling in Europe. The possibility of internationally agreed minimum standards for regulating remote gambling will be discussed.
